Summary
"So," Jeongguk begins, eyebrow quirking slightly. "How'd you end up here?"
Yoongi sighs, finds himself briefly wishing he'd accepted the offer of a cigarette. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a lollipop, unwrapping it quickly and popping it into his mouth. Relishing the artificial cherry flavor that's become his new vice, he takes a deep breath and curls further into himself.
"Bad breakup," he offers weakly, and it's only half of a half-truth. Yoongi knows Jeongguk can tell, but it doesn't matter right now.
Jeongguk shakes his head in sympathy, corner of his mouth twisting downward. "Sorry, man."
"It's fine," Yoongi shrugs. It is fine, he knows. He should be talking about it- should be moving on, should be processing it, should be doing a lot of things.
Maybe talking to this familiar stranger in an alley behind a shitty bar is a good start, or at least an adequate one.
