Summary
Kyoutarou Ichikawa was more than just an edgy teen. In his own mind, he was a sinister, sick human being; to his surprise, he wasn't far off with the word "sick." Doctors identify Kyoutarou's debilitating intrusive thoughts as a byproduct of a recent health scare, cementing his problems on the deeper level than hormonal fluctuations.
On top of a complete rewiring of his brain, Kyoutarou has to navigate the struggles of schoolwork, social pressure, and teen romance. Fortunately, for him, every cloud has a silver lining.

Summary
Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Strep (PANDAS) is a condition in which the immune system mistakenly attacks the brain when a child suffers a strep infection. One of the main diagnostic criteria for PANDAS is obsessive-compulsive behavior, of which this series has plenty.
Kyotaro Ichikawa is a young teen who navigates school and romance after a PANDAS diagnosis. His girlfriend, Anna Yamada (who happens to be on the autism spectrum), stays by his side as he navigates life's challenges.
