“You’ve been working so hard,” Jake starts quietly. His hand comes up and rubs the back of Heeseung’s head softly. His fingers run through the strands and he tries to calm his heart. “You’re doing so well hyung, and all of the members know it. I know it. You’re always doing your best for everyone. You deserve the best. Sleep well, hyung. You deserve it, okay?”
Heeseung rubs his face into Jake’s shirt. Long legs wrap around Jake’s left one and hold him close. “Thank you,” Heeseung says quietly.

“It’s beautiful, though, isn’t it?” Jongseong says.
Normally Heeseung would poke fun at his romantic tendencies, tease him a bit. It’s how they work; Jongseong is earnest and Heeseung deflects. It’s a back-and-forth they’ve mastered over the years they’ve known each other. But this time, standing in the steadily falling snow of late November, Heeseung can’t bring himself to be anything but honest.
