Summary
“Your bat gave me a surprise last night,” Will continues, voice low.
Dustin shifts uncomfortably. “Will—”
“But there’s something you didn't tell me,” Will says, stopping and staring at Dustin, as he sinks back into his pillow. “Something kind of crucial.” He leans forward slightly, lowering his voice even more, turning the words into a furious whisper.
“You didn’t care to tell me that he’s a… vampire.”
or; Will starts college with unexpected excitement. His roommate is funny, if a little strange. But when he ends up in the infirmary with a broken arm, asking Will to look after his pet, a damn bat, Will is pulled into a situation that is anything but ordinary.

Summary
As Mike and Will got to school, the two of them made their way to Will’s locker. Mike was basically a parasite latched onto Will’s back 24/7. The taller boy leaned against the locker, almost intimidating, if he weren’t rambling about D&D. Will patiently listened to Mike scream about some game with Eddie, when Will was off in California. As he unlocked his locker, a bright pink letter fell out. This seemed to surprise Mike, leading him to stutter out some nonsense.
“Shit- I- Erm- …What is that?” Mike struggled to get through a single sentence.
“I ‘dunno…some letter from a girl it looks like…” Will said, bending down, picking it up and examining the writing on the front.
“W-What’s it say?” Mike stuttered out.
“Just ‘To: Will’ …What d’you think it’s about?” Will said, beginning to rip open the envelope.Bookmarked by evyi_evtg

Summary
Will's been acting— strange, Mike thinks. He's caught Will skulking around the house like he's got lead weights attached to his ankles, watched his eyes blink listlessly without a hint of light in their irises, heard his voice go so raspy Mike wasn't sure he'd been speaking at all. Mike can’t help but worry.
He doesn’t look too good, either; clammy skin, pale, ashen face, hollowed cheeks like he’s hardly eaten in days. Will's acting half-dead already, and the world's not even close to ending yet.
Mike, on the other hand, is being slowly tormented by a strange monster with fangs long enough to spear him through. These two things— Will's strange behavior, and Mike's impending doom— may or may not be related, but Mike's got to figure it out. One way or another.
(Or; Will puts his life on the line to keep his friends safe, and nearly loses it entirely. Mike does all he can to bring Will back— and, in the process, brings them closer together than ever before.)

Summary
“Are you offended that people think we’re dating?”
“No,” Mike says immediately. “Of course not,” because, again, he should be so lucky.
Will’s baffled expression does not change. “Then why would I be?”
“So– okay, fine, whatever. Should we, like, tell them to get their heads out of their asses and that we’re not– um– dating, or–”
“I think,” Will cuts in, “well. You know what would be funny?”
Honestly, Mike doesn't know what he thought being Will Byers' fake-boyfriend would entail, but he definitely didn't think it would involve this many ugly Christmas sweaters.
