This is a disaster.
Castiel wants to continue the expedition no matter the cost, but he can’t possibly do it alone. The papers and the maps of the previous crew are the most important thing to further the research of the wilderness in this area, further discoveries. Nobody has gone that far before. He needs to reach the findings before something happens to them and the invaluable information is lost and they're set back months, if not years.
Castiel is restless like the dogs in their sled. He needs to come up with a plan.
The plan comes to him.
