"I mean, it's not like you're going to be gone forever, right?", Buck then asked, really afraid to hear the answer.
The only thing worse than an answer, though, was no answer. The silence was strangling, his heart painfully beating in his chest.
"Right, Eddie?", he asked again, still not wanting to hear the answer, but afraid that his quiet was the answer.
--------
Buck and Eddie go on a road trip together to look at a house. Eddie moves to El Paso to get his son back. Buck spirals.
Set in/after 8x08.

Summary
“sobriety is overrated.” klaus thought to himself, digging deep into the pocket of his coat, pulling out a sum of 35 crumpled bills, exchanging it with the man in the alleyway in return for a small bag of an assortment of pills. no one gave a shit about klaus when he was sober, no one even shot a glance in his direction. everyone still thought he was a lying attention-whore. klaus had enough of it. he wanted to be numb again. there goes 57 days of sobriety down the drain as he pops a total of three unnamed pills into his mouth, swallowing them dry. he ignored the pleading from ben asking him to walk back home, he ignored the calls and texts he received from his siblings asking where the hell he was, he ignored the screaming of the other dead people around him, he ignored the urge to run home and cry. and, right as the high started to kick in, he realized, he was alone. again.
