Summary
Haedus, Sirius, and Remus are starting to investigate the past and finding some secrets that were hidden in Sirius's old home, leading to a journey for Sirius which he had not expected. In the meantime, Jo finds himself in a situation he doesn't want to be in, falling back into old habits. While running away from everything, he wants to know more about his old family, and thanks to dark creatures, he recognizes that his fear of fire has some serious meaning and he isn't the only child with this fear. With his fellow sufferer, he unravels that they are connected to a past that is as mysterious to Jo as this world he stumbled onto a year ago.
Haedus isn't returning to Hogwarts alone; one of his fathers is coming too as a teacher, creating awkward situations no teenager would like. As if it isn't enough that he has to get settled in a new part of the castle and is trying to get old friendships together while making new ones too... In addition to all this, there is also a threat out there from a 16-year-old which impacts not only school life, but the whole of Wizarding Britain.

After Molly Weasley reports shocking abuse on the part of Petunia and Vernon Dursley, Albus Dumbledore makes an official decision to Turn A Blind Eye. After all, the Dursleys *are* the key to Harry's Blood Wards. Though McGonagall is appalled, she is ultimately unwilling to take a stand against Albus.
Enraged at this dual neglect, Severus Snape decides to take matters into his own hands. Little does he know that his attempts to modify Harry's Blood Wards will result in *accidentally adopting* The Boy Who Lived. Shocked and horrified, Severus is left with no choice but to move forward as best he can. After all, there's no use crying over spilled potions. . .
This fic is set just after the Weasley siblings rescue Harry from the barred window/canned soup/cat flap situation in Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. Summary

Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.

Summary
The Dursleys have had enough and decided well, since Harry is now a teenager surely he can work for his own keep and sent him off to get a job as they will no longer be providing him with his needs (not like they did that anyway) and surely he can start helping pay the bills. Harry fortunately found a job that is nearby, a grocery store. As Harry settles in on this new routine he gets used it until one day on the checkout line he runs into the last person he wants to see.
"P-professor Snape?"
"Potter!"
For Harry it appears to be that things seem to be getting worse but finds that perhaps this is the start of something good.
