Summary
Exemplary Capitol citizen Gala Montelago has achieved what many her age can only dream of: 22 years old and already a fully trained trustee, in charge of coordinating the publicity efforts and the image of none other than Capitol darling Finnick Odair.
In theory, she should be blissfully happy. Have not a care in the world, since her world is perfect, her life seems faultless... and that's the problem: when something seems too perfect to be true, it usually is.
Gala knows better than not to expect the worst.
The 74th Hunger Games are up. Times are changing. The people are angry and they've grown tired of their suffering. Unrest spreads in Panem and with it, Gala's own doubts are fueled.
What skeletons does her own family have lying in the closet? What part should she play in a revolution she has no idea what to make of? How is she supposed to live in a nation which she loves and loathes simultaneously? And how is it that Finnick Odair is no help at all in answering any of these questions?

Neil Josten is pretty sure that trying to live a "normal" life is hard enough without unwittingly becoming the tutor to a guy whose twin brother is a) horribly antagonistic to him for tutoring said twin brother, b) apparently notorious on-campus for sleeping with anyone once, and c) the first person to make him Google search, "Want to somehow kiss and punch someone at the same time?"
