Tim pauses for a single, infinitesimal second as he walks away from her, but it’s all the hesitation Lucy needs. She reaches out, wiping tears from her eyes with one hand while the other tangles in the material of his shirt.
He’s caught off guard, his eyes wide and his lips parted as he stumbles from the force of her hands pulling him back toward her.“W-what?” he stutters, not sure he’s heard her right.
“I said no, Bradford,” Lucy snaps, her voice watery but resolute. “You are not allowed to break up with me, okay? You’re just not fucking allowed.”
