Summary
Maeve always has very expressive blue eyes, but right now they're dull and dark. Like the brewing ocean just before a storm.
Grace gulps, squirming when said eyes track the movement of her throat before flinching away. It's insufferable, the way neither of them know how to act around each other anymore.
“Do you… still have my number?”
“Yes.” Grace nods. She purses her lips into a thin line so as to not let slip any confession about never having deleted it in the first place.
“Okay.” Maeve shuffles back, and apparently that's all the time she has for Grace. “See you.”
As soon as Maeve disappears behind the corner, Grace finds a wall so she can slam her head into.
This is going to be a mess.
After the events of RE9, Leon reaches out to Grace for a favor: Deliver Elpis to one Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield.
Indebted to her friend, Grace files a field assignment request to Director Dempsy. Her request is approved, but only on one condition: Grace must have a partner.
It just so happens that the partner Director Dempsy has in mind is her workplace situationship. Surely this can only end well.

Summary
Clarke hitches her purse into the crook of her elbow and rests a hand on the doorknob, fingers aching to turn it. She would rather go home than be talked into attending some ghastly book club hosted by Lexa. “I’m afraid I would feel very awkward. Everybody already knows everybody, and I’ll only stick out like a sore thumb."
“Well, the point is for you to bridge that gap”, Henry insists, and she doesn’t need to look at Mark to see her husband smiling encouragingly. He would want her to leave the house. “Come on, Clarke.”
“Yes, Clarke,” Lexa speaks up for the first time, gaze trained on her and the ghost of a smirk on her lips. It feels like a challenge; like Lexa is daring her to say no. “Say you’ll come.”

Summary
Nayeon barely had time to register what was happening before Sana’s lips brushed hers.
The crowd roared. It was quick, featherlight, but it was undeniably a kiss.
Sana pulled back almost immediately, falling onto the floor with boisterous laughter. The crowd’s roar grew deafening, and the other members were half shocked, half amused at what just happened.
Nayeon didn't have much time to process it either, with Jihyo signalling her to continue singing her lines. She found herself struggling to keep on a bright smile for the rest of the performance, her mind spinning in circles and heart pounding in her chest.
