Summary
This is the story of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. From their entrance as ignorant children to a strange, harsh, and demanding world, to their growth into rulers recognized on the world stage. Their journey will not be a gentle one, full of many successes and failures. Along the way, they will make friends, learn from brutal instructors, and become part of the legendary family Black.
This is a 'what if' about what would happen if 'Draco isn't an Idiot', and paid attention to the lessons Narcissa taught about the Black, and following their motto, ‘family first.’ Naturally, Draco would invite Harry to join his family, and from there he actually learns the truth, instead of the lies told by Dumbledore. With proper supervision and the love of family, Harry excels in ways never dreamed.
Because that wasn't enough of a challenge, I also made a world very similar to Victorian England with harsh discipline, honor, and proper comportment. I created a world where first-gens are used to replenish the magic of families, so while second-class citizens, they are necessary every three generations to keep the family magic alive. Beloved Hekate is the goddess of magic, and she does occasionally interfere, too.

Summary
He hasn’t seen Alastor in person in at least seven years, maybe more. Not that he hasn’t been keeping tabs on him, of course. Every time the little creep climbs another rung of the broadcasting ladder, Vincent is the first to know about it. Every time some hack prints another article on Radio’s darling versus TV’s sweetheart — who’s in the lead?, Vincent reads it over and over ’til his eyes bleed. And every time he thinks back to college, and to the charming young man who’d stay up with him all night discussing everything from mechanics to murder, and how it all ended so bitterly, Vincent drinks himself blind on the kitchen floor.
And now here he is, on Vincent’s doorstep.
‘Well,’ he says, lips curling into a nasty grin, ‘I guess it really is Christmas.’

On Christmas Eve, Alastor arrives at Vincent's door bleeding from his shoulder. Featuring stitches, scotch, and sweaters.

"I need to change my head" Vox whispered, his eye spiralling.
Val looked confused "But isn't that a very old model? It's outdated..."
Vox trembled, "I can't see him..." he whispered, "I need to change it- I can't see him!"
"Who...?" Val asked, getting closer to Vox;
Vox cried out "Al..."
Val stilled "You are doing all of this for that stupid deer... again?"
Vox cried louder, "YES!" he said "I need to! I can't see him!"
"When are you going to realise that he doesn't want you! That he will never take you back! He literally despises you!"
Vox put his hands on his head "Stop it!" his whole face glitched in and out, black screening.

Vox's falls in love at first sight with Alastor and if everything is perfect at the start, their relationship quickly turns sour. Vox tries everything in his power to be friends with Alastor again, and if that's not possible, he just wants to see him one more time without the glitching that characterises Alastor's form on video.
What could go wrong for a very obsessed silly picture box?
