Summary
The Settler Ship Hearth has just begun its long journey home to Fontaine from the frigid world of Snezhnaya. It is designed to house biological and geographic samples, valuable data about the planet, and approximately forty crew members on board. But Furina, the ship's chief biologist, is about to awaken and discover that there are far fewer people on board than she would have expected. In their place is a new visitor who is extremely eager to get to know her better, whether she likes it or not.
