Summary
When the world is invaded by a mysterious new coronavirus, the White Blood Cells are driven to a frenzy by a cytokine storm, a maladaptive immune response that leads to them attacking healthy cells as well as infected ones. The only way for Red Blood Cell AE3803 to keep her Neutrophil friend U-1146 lucid and to keep him from going to join the slaughter is to quarantine him away from the front lines. In other words: to keep themselves and everyone else safe from COVID-19, they must stay safely inside until the emergency passes.
