Levi lost the power that awoke within him as a child when the last Titan disappeared from the earth, but he still felt the burden of being humanity's strongest. After reimagining his role, he offered hope where it was most needed. Over tea, naturally.
He had been through countless iterations of pain and tried nearly as many ways to cope. One thing that remained true was that when life went to shit, sitting in the shit pile with another person was better than sitting in it alone.

"Hoshina-" Kafka grits his teeth. Sucks in a ragged gasp of air. "I'm sorry."
The water bottle is pushed gently against his face, right along the fading tear tracks. Seconds stretch out only to shatter around them. Time a poignant wheel that won't stop turning in circles. What they need right now is a line to cross. But they're formless in the fallout. Still, Hoshina persists. Pushes back against the splintering moment.
“Come on. Drink."
It makes sense, that Hoshina would love as fiercely as he fights.

This was meant to be another slow Tuesday. Soshiro is never trusting the days of the week again.

Satoru leaves a dozen voicemails; Suguru sends one text: I’m safe. We’ll talk later.
It feels like a promise and a goodbye all at once. They break the way stars do—far apart, still burning toward the same dark.
