“Vulcan biology,” Spock said.
“You mean… The biology of Vulcans?” Jim repeated his words almost exactly, slowly realizing their true meaning. “Biology as in… reproduction?”
A chill ran down Jim’s spine.
It wasn’t exactly convenient that Spock’s situation concerned Vulcan reproduction. They were on Earth long before First Contact, and the only two people in the city who knew about the existence of Vulcan were Jim and Spock, making the latter the only person familiar with the mysterious biological ailment he himself was suffering. No, this wasn’t convenient at all. It was very, very bad.Or: what if Spock went through his first pon farr in New York City circa 1930 while he and Jim waited for McCoy's arrival?

Summary
Jim gets invited to these Starfleet-sanctioned parties every year, and he’s usually content to ignore them in favor of dedicating himself to the five-year mission. But Jim’s excuses have dried up—the mission ends in just a few weeks, and it seems Starfleet really wants him to go. The only problem is that he isn’t too thrilled to run into any past lovers and friends as he begrudgingly prepares for the admiralty. He needs someone to beat away irritating questions about his impending promotion, as well as the handful of flings that he’d rather leave in his rear-view. Jim just isn’t expecting Spock to volunteer.
Or: Spock offers to pose as Jim's partner at a dinner party, and Jim’s absolutely sure it won’t awaken anything in him.

Summary
Jim Kirk knew, as his first officer did as well, how much he loved to be at Spock’s mercy. With the connection between their minds, he was able to surrender completely in a way he had never been able to with prior partners. Everything about Spock’s superior strength and agility excited him, and sometimes when he watched Spock in combat it was hard to resist the urge to take him by the hand and beg with his thoughts and his words to be taken right then and there. Since the forming of their telepathic bond, Spock had been increasingly willing to acquiesce to Jim’s desire to lose control. To be overpowered, manhandled, reduced to something small and breakable under Spock’s careful hands.
The recent experience in Triskelion had reopened the can of worms, with new possibilities. Rather than stun him with a regular weapon, which would knock him out pretty much immediately, Jim allowed himself to imagine Spock subduing him with an electric collar under telepathic control. Controlling him, completely, with the use of his mind.

Summary

In these dreams, a prince bearing Spock's likeness claims they are destined mates, leaving Kirk haunted by how real everything feels.
When Kirk shares this with Spock, he is told that Vulcans do not dream, deepening the mystery. Unbeknownst to Spock, Kirk is connecting with a remnant of his subconscious left behind from the meld.
As the dreams grow more intense, Kirk finds himself grappling with his own emotions, toward both his trusted first officer and the mysterious Vulcan prince in his dreams.
