Summary
Kurapika sighed. The situation was getting more and more complicated by the day.
Kuroro was a child, okay, but he'd been expecting just a shrunken version of the pompous thief rather than an actual child. And that was a problem, because said child was extremely endearing and starting to grow on him.
OR
Kurapika gets saddled with a five-year-old version of his worst enemy and tries his best not to get too attached. He fails miserably, of course.

Summary
Kurapika died on the Black Whale and woke in the Lukso forest, years before the massacre. His clan was alive. His chains were intact. And somewhere in the smog-choked ruins of Meteor City, the boy who would become the Phantom Troupe's leader was reading a book about the Scarlet Eyes and wondering what they were worth.
If I cannot kill the monster, Kurapika thought, I will have to love it into something else.
Kurapika closed his eyes. Chrollo's fingers were touching his face. His fingertips were cold. Kurapika could feel the faint calluses on Chrollo's index finger and thumb, from holding books, he realised. From turning pages by candlelight.
He leaned in.
The kiss was clumsy. Chrollo tilted his head the wrong way, their noses brushing awkwardly. He made a small, frustrated sound against Kurapika's mouth and adjusted, and the second attempt was better, softer, his lips parting on an inhale like he was surprised this was allowed.
He told himself it was strategy. He kept telling himself that long after strategy stopped being a convincing explanation.
