Summary
Isabel wakes up confused, weak, and covered in mud, after an extended stay in the Midnight Realm— Tara decides they should never be apart again— you know, for safety.
———
“So, what, we take off? Leave everything to fight monsters together?”
Tara couldn’t tell if the other girl’s tone was hopeful or incredulous. “Why not? I mean, tell me that you think we can keep this up, only ever meeting on the psychic plane. Tell me that after all this, you want to go back to our families in the suburbs.”
The pause that ensued was not very long.
“Okay. Monster hunters, you and me.”———

Summary
"The danger, and such my duty to Coraline, came and went, and already a story has been penned of it, as it usually goes. I have never been the one to tell the story of the main event. I lurk in the duller moments. The little things, and the even littler things, upon which hinge matters of life and death. Far too boring, though, for a story."
Coraline's adventuring behind the little door has come and gone, but still, the cat remains to protect and watch over her and Wybie... whatever that means.
