But then the boy would smile with half of his mouth, let the others scold him, and he’d always be forgiven. Seeun was the thorn in everyone’s side, but also a part of them all the same. Seeun was Seeun. And sometimes he would look at Junghoon.

His members were just ordinary boys, Junghoon remembered. He himself always felt more like some kind of creature in human form, plagued by strange habits and comforts that made others inch away from him eventually. If it wasn't Junghoon's idiosyncrasies, it was his lack of knowledge in how to make others like him that made people pass him over.
