But he has the ghost of Kerry's best friend inside his head, he's dying, he can't take the first step and it's never going to work. Plus, Johnny's being really weird about the whole thing.
Slightly canon divergent, after the Samurai reunion gig, I haven't referenced the Us Cracks line.

Was this normal to the Samurai members? Johnny had a reputation to shoot people, after all, so maybe. "Yeah. Alt hired me."
"Our Alt? Say, you wouldn't have happened to've seen Johnny, have ya? Was supposed to bring him this." He held up a bottle of an awfully suspicious looking, pink, swirly, glittery alcoholic beverage.
"Uhm." V squinted at it. "Yeah, I have, but I think he's getting his dick wet right now."
A deep, resigned sigh. "Guess I'll have to drink it. You want some? 's laced."
"With what?"
"Fuck do I know, bunch'a stuff." He took a swig from the bottle and pulled a face. "This shit is disgusting. Tastes like toxic water with bubble gum." Another swig, then another. Then he pressed the bottle into V's hand. "Come on, I wanna get out of this stuffy dump."
