Summary
Emily sits in a chair opposite him, quickly browsing through the paperwork he’d filled out. “Tell me about yourself,” she prompts.
“Um. I’m Nate? I play hockey.”
“What else? There’s got to be more to you than that,” she smiles.
“Not really,” Nate admits. “Everything is hockey.”
-------------------------------------
Nate screams at his coach in the middle of a game on national TV. His GM forces him to go to therapy, and Nate's resentful until he figures out that it's actually kind of helpful.
Starts in January 2019 and goes through a few years of Nate's life, past the Cup win and into some future unspecified date. A story told mostly though Nate's therapy sessions, with some other moments in between.

Summary
George leant in closer, his breath warm against Max’s collarbone. “In all honesty, mate,” he murmured, “I wasn’t really planning on doing much talking when we got up to the hotel room.”
Max grinned. “For once, Russell, you’ve come up with a very good plan.”

Summary
“It could be nice. Right? We could get a cool house, and like, a dog. Or two, maybe. Have you seen those golf simulators? We could get one of those. And I want a pool.”
“Mack.”
Silence, thick and striking.
“Just imagine it,” Mack whispers, “Just pretend for a minute, okay? We aren’t getting married, I know, it’s fucking stupid. But just, like, pretend.”
“It’s really late, dude. We need to sleep.”
“What kind of mattress would we have?” He asks.
He can’t help it. He has to pry, he has to dig his fingers into the cracks and pull it all apart.

Summary
Kimi watches the video a couple times, if only to try to grasp the tone of it.
“It’s still shockingly bad,” Max deadpans on his phone screen. And then: “I mean, it’s all good”.
“What he said,” George quips, and then it’s over. The tension in the room can be cut with a knife, and even though Lando, snickering between the two of them, seems to find it all extremely entertaining, Kimi is just stressed. Are they okay or not? He needs to know for *sure* sure, his mental health is at stake here.
