Summary
Childe and Zhongli’s friendship is unlikely, with one being an impulsive, confident, and adventurous billionaire who’s friends with virtually everyone and sought after by more, and the other a quiet, reserved, and introverted old soul who says “please” and “thank you” to leaves on the sidewalk. And yet, they get along with one another better than anyone else. They’ve been friends for years and found themselves in their own troublesome dilemmas at the same time.
Childe, a young CEO of the multi-billion dollar company “Fatui”, is dealing with more inappropriate gestures and remarks in regards to him being single than he cares for. Zhongli, a consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Home, is going through a financial crisis, with every possible liability hitting him at once. When ranting to each other over drinks one night, they come to the most absurd solution to both of their problems: pose Zhongli as Childe’s boyfriend and sugar baby, just until everything settles, of course. Childe has more than enough money to spare, Zhongli doesn’t mind helping a friend in need, and their arrangement is flawless. At least, it appears to be that way.

“Klee!” He called out, expecting to hear the usual shriek of the girl asking ‘what?!’ Or the sound of tiny feet running down from the floor above.
But there was silence.

“... Kaeya?” And the blond couldn’t bring himself to shout the name, still too foreign on his lips.

Kaeya Alberich, the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius, was leaning against a wall by the Grandmaster's office, holding a few sheets of (presumed) paperwork.
A signature sly smile decorated his soft lips, his uncovered eye glimmered in dangerous curiosity as it locked onto the blond- no doubt the most interesting thing in the empty hall.
“Kaeya.” Albedo greeted in acknowledgement, his tone level and unbothered as he made his way towards the taller man.

Albedo knew that his worsening shoulder pain was strange, scary, even, but the flutter and ache in his chest whenever he saw a certain Cavalry Captain felt a lot more out of place...
