Jack decides to stop pretending he is ever going to sleep tonight, or the next night, or the previous night, or some odd nights back and before. He tosses a glance to his sleeping girlfriend and then pulls her arm off him. When Jack’s bare feet touch the cool carpet, he hears the wind again. It says his name.

Zelda is in for a disappointing summer. She failed to get the highly competitive internship she wanted in the final round. She's exhausted from the early morning flight she took back home to Castle Town. And worst of all, she's agreed to work at her father's renaissance faire one last time, to be Princess Zelda for yet another year in a row. Only this year isn't shaping up to be like all the rest, especially not with this weird new knight who keeps following her around.

Summary

He may be wanting for friends or any sort of real company, and yet there is hardly a soul more welcoming than Jade Harley -- the capable, gregarious farmer-lass who is simply quaint and precious to the point of Dave pulling out the stops to befriend and impress her.
