Summary

Turns out, that was six years ago.
Suffering from amnesia that he hopes is only temporary, Izuku has to try and figure out how to fit in the life that he does not remember, while also dealing with the fact he's apparently in a relationship with Kacchan and Shouto.

Summary
Izuku honestly wasn’t aware of the fanfics for a while after they were first discovered. Nobody told him about them, after all — both Uraraka and Iida were under the impression that the other had told him, Yaomomo apparently assumed that someone else would tell him, and Asui admitted that she hadn’t even thought about it.
He finally found out about them when he overheard Kaminari and Mina discussing them (or, rather, laughing at them). He didn’t actually get to ask about it, though — Mina just noticed him hovering awkwardly and filled him in on the situation.
...
It’s through the fics about himself that he finds the ‘Todoroki Shouto | Shouto/Midoriya Izuku | Deku’ tag. He wasn’t looking for ship fics — the thought honestly hadn’t occurred to him — but he’s figured out by this point what the difference is between ship tags and platonic tags, so the difference immediately sticks out to him.
Now, Izuku’s never really thought a whole lot about relationships in general. He’s only liked a handful of people, and never very intensely.
Until Todoroki.

"You know," Katsuki says over his menu, glaring across the table, "I think you're a secret pervert. Why else would you pick Hooters for lunch?"
Shouto doesn't look up from the menu, dragging his thumb down the list of drinks. "I like their wings, not the breasts."
Katsuki turns, ready to bark out his order to the waiter, and comes face to face with the biggest chest he’s ever seen in his life, attached to the biggest guy he’s ever seen in his life. He tilts his chin and makes eye contact with a tanned, beaming redhead, and can’t help his whimper.

“There is nothing wrong with you,” Zuko pauses, and Sokka can feel the look he’s burning into the side of his face not currently muffled with carpet. “Not really. You’re a good guy, funny when you don’t try too hard, and you’re not bad looking.”
Sokka snorts and takes the small kick to his stomach like a champ. “Not bad looking? That’s all you’ve got?”
“You’re hot.” Zuko sits back and pulls his feet onto the couch, focusing back on his movie “Maybe they’re just not the right people. Try expanding your choices from the gym and that stupid app-”
“It’s the number one dating app in the nation!”
“Someone will stick around to the end,” he says it like a promise, but Sokka can’t find his eyes in the dim light of their living room. “In the meantime, you need to shower. You smell like alcohol and desperation.”
“I hate you.”
“No you don’t.”
And Sokka doesn’t, of course.
Or: Sokka has had a lot of dates but they never stick around and he doesn’t know why. Literally everyone else knows why.
