    incredible writing. development of the plot and molding of characters is intricate and detailed. dynamic between kdj and yjh feels right. vivid writing style, but not overbearing. interludes are heartwrenching. satisfying ending. makes you feel the emotions clearly. keeps you interested and reacting and silently screaming. would reread.

    ch 9 - vivid depiction of kdj's despair. yjh leaves and doesn't come back, his father is murdered and he forgets his happy memories, leaving a void. abuse and bullying, until someone tells him to jump off (he sees yjh) and he does.
    ch 17 - yjh does all he can to travel back to seoul and meet kdj. he loses money again and again until it's too late, and he learns kdj is dead.

    ‘Home’ was an intangible thing, but it existed, and would continue to exist, forever. It was a dumpling, an orange, a 'good night'. It was a shell from the sea, a keychain saved for him, a postcard covered in childish writing. It was the way the sunlight caught on Yoo Joonghyuk's hair when he turned around and laced the black strands through with gold. It was 'welcome back', and it was 'I promise'. It was Yoo Joonghyuk.

    the writing style!!!!!! so good so heartwrenching i'm going to cry (i did)

    “He saved me once, but he’s not the reason I’m here now. I know I said it was your fault, but fault’s not the right word.” Her eyes mist over. “I never thought it would be such a gift.”

    A beam as glorious as anything he’s ever seen spreads across her lips. She opens her mouth and closes it again, sowing seeds of hope in him, but she speaks and a warm wind sweeps them away to blossom elsewhere.

    “Goodbye, Jacopo. Until next time.”

    The softest of farewells, more mercy than he ever earned or expected.

    “Until then, Morgana.”
