“Me too,” Harry says with a laugh before getting back to his food.
Louis laughs along with him until he looks down at Harry’s plate, “are you really using a fork and knife for chicken nuggets?”
Harry looks up at him and the genuine judgement on his face makes him giggle.
“I’m trying to be fancy! We were supposed to be going to a really nice restaurant Lou, I’m just trying to recreate the experience.” He then dips the chicken nugget into his ketchup with his fork.

“Have you checked your twitter mentions lately?” Liam asks, almost hesitantly.
“‘Course not, I’ve been busy relaxing.” Louis gives Liam a smile, “Besides, isn’t that your job?”
“Well, I mean... Kind of, but you should check them.”
Louis sighs, “Fine.”
He picks his phone up from the table and takes a scroll through twitter, finding that apparently the book he was carrying on the way out of the airport was visible enough to see in the pap shots, and now his fans are excited. From about three minutes of scrolling and reading tweets he gathers the following: he and Harry share an overlap in fans, a lot of people are thankful for the book recommendation, some people say they ship him and Harry, whatever that means, oh and Harry Styles has seen the photos.
Or, Louis is famous for his singing. Harry is semi-famous for his writing. They're both fans of each other.

“Wish I had a popstar boyfriend who wrote me songs,” Harry mutters petulantly. He’s kind of kidding. He’s happy for Liam, and if who he falls in love with ends up being a famous singer who writes him songs, great. Phoebe and Daisy have turned around to face him, huge smiles on their faces.
Fuck, this man is really going to be the death of Louis. He can physically feel his brain struggling to make his body cooperate and answer the question. He is so gay.
“No, gay!” He shouts, immediately getting an elbow to the side by his sister.

Now, as he’s standing in the doorway, he’s trying not to get choked up. He hadn’t realized how much he missed this: the smell of his mother’s baking, the sounds of each of his family members, the sight of some of his old toys scattered about the foyer where his littlest siblings had presumably left them. All these things scream home, and he hadn’t felt at home since he left this house eight years ago.
Louis needs a break from everything, from acting and the constant pressure of life in LA. He decides to move back home for a bit, some time with his family is exactly what can lift his spirits. What he doesn't expect is to fall in love. Both with the town he hated so much so that he couldn't wait to leave it years ago and with a curly haired florist that was the complete opposite of the guys he'd often meet in LA.

In which Mike just doesn’t think it’s right that Will doesn’t get to experiment with a guy, but luckily Mike’s a guy, and a good friend, so. Featuring closet hookups, hickeys, really good cuddles in the midst of all the sexual experimentation, sneaking around, a canon-typical amount of boys crying, the Painting Lie!!!, conversations about feelings that don’t actually address any of the important feelings (until they do, and then ohh boy), and the happy ending that they goddamn deserved.
Takes place during the eighteen month time gap before they all graduate, then continues past the ending of the finale.

“Heart,” he croaks as black dots begin to dance at the edges of his vision. He would explain to them, if he could, that he’s not in pain. That he is glad to be with them at the end, and he’s sorry he didn’t tell them sooner.
He really thought he’d get his happy ending.
A weight settles atop his abdomen with enough force for him to feel it. He opens his eyes briefly when his chin is tilted up; all he can see is Mike, his face collapsing in agony. Will’s thankful that the oxygen deprivation knocks him out before he has time to really dwell on how many regrets he has about him.
He’s still the only thing he thinks about as he says on his last exhale, “Heart.”
(or: a combination of basement gate & the theory that will would have a fake out death. a rewrite of the scenes pre- and post-vecna fight, but not the vecna fight itself)
