Summary
Will Byers has built a new life for himself in New York City. College has given him distance from Hawkins and everything it holds, and in that space he’s grown into someone more confident, more sure of who he is. He has friends, classes he loves, and even a boyfriend. For the first time in years, his life feels like it belongs to him.
Then he finds out his friends from Hawkins are coming to visit for the weekend. And Mike is coming with them.
Will hasn’t seen Mike in a year, barely spoken to him at all. He’s worked hard to move on, to bury the feelings he’s carried since they were kids, to convince himself that loving Mike was something he could leave behind. But with Mike about to step back into his life, Will realizes just how fragile that progress might be, and how seeing him again could unravel everything he’s fought to become.
