Summary
“Fate etched your demise in the fabric of eternity itself,” Rio says, sweeping her arms open; spiders skitter from the dark creases of her cloak. “It was written eons before your birth. Now – the time has come to – ”
“The end is nigh, sinner!” says a familiar voice behind her. “It is I, Lady Death! Ooga booga!”
If Rio had eyes right now, they’d be twitching. Slowly, she turns to take in the unwelcome (if increasingly-frequent) sight: Agatha, holding a Ghostface Halloween mask over her ghostly face. Draped over her head in a paltry imitation of Rio’s cloak is a sequined black shawl – Billy’s, Rio guesses. She knows that the kid’s been trying his hand at drag recently.
“Oh, this is so embarrassing,” Agatha says, flicking a finger in Rio’s direction. “One of us is gonna have to change.”
------------------------
Just when a ghostly Agatha decides she's ready to give into Rio's centuries-long pursuit, Rio swears that she's finally done with the pursuing.

Summary
It takes every bit of strength Asami has to tear her gaze away from Korra and offer Beifong a small, polite smile. The woman looks the same as she did years ago, though the freezing hatred in her gaze has been replaced with hard-edged practicality. She knows the expression well: the look of a businesswoman prepared to close an unsavoury deal.
“Look, Sato,” Beifong says. “We need your help.”
x
With Republic City under threat from Kuvira's spirit weapon, it must turn to its brightest technological minds for help: one of them is the imprisoned ex-Equalist Asami Sato, the Avatar's old flame.

Summary
Asami always liked speed. Wind against her face. The snarling crescendo of an engine. That squirm in her stomach as the world blurs at the edges and something distant, something just beyond the glare of the headlights is the only clear thing left.
That’s where she found her kinship with Korra. They shared a relentlessness. A fear of stalling in the streets. A survivor's instinct, like a shark— keep moving and you’ll know you’re alive.
Which is why it’s odd that it took so much patience to know each other.

Summary
They stare at each other for a moment, time splintering in pieces around them: a masterpiece waiting to paint itself, a train waiting to wreck itself. Asami is the one who’s dead, but Korra doesn’t think she’s ever felt this cold in her life.
“Don’t,” she chokes out. “Don’t talk to me. Not like this. Not when you’re...”
Silence, for a moment. Silence and shadows and shaky breaths. It hurts to look at Asami, and it hurts to look away.
“It’s still me,” Asami says at last, her voice bent around a note of desperation, and Korra thinks: No, it’s not.

Summary
Leah stares down at her phone, her mind working wine-drunk and slow through a flood of emotions: surprise, confusion, and finally understanding. This isn’t Fatin Jadmani - at least, it’s not the real Fatin Jadmani. No, this is very clearly someone using Fatin’s face and fame to trick unsuspecting Tinder users. And now that she knows the truth, it’s Leah’s duty to expose this lowlife catfish for what they really are.
Fatin smiles up at her from the screen: dazzlingly, beautifully familiar. Leah swipes right.
