Noelle and Kris have known each other forever; they grew up together, Kris pulling pranks that made Noelle shriek only to get chased around by Dess with a wiffle bat in retaliation, playing video games together until Kris inevitably decided to get up and go play the Holiday family's piano...
Then Dess went missing. Kris went quiet. Asriel left for college. Distance grew between friends.
Dess came back. Kris started to smile again. Noelle and Kris reconnected, and together, they survived high school.
College is going to be a new challenge all its own, but at least they're in it together, right?
...Then Noelle meets her new roommate, Susie, and things get a little more complicated.

Summary
Sitting on the drummer’s stool was the Dragon, a large reptilian monster with pinkish scales. Her hair hung loose and wild over her face, magenta fading into bright orange at the tips. Her jacket’s sleeves had been ripped off at the shoulder to create a leather vest studded with large golden spikes, revealing muscled arms, and she wore a pair of fingerless gloves with smaller spikes along the knuckles.
“You weren’t nearly loud enough the first time, so I’d better ask again,” Dragon said, and suddenly, her voice sounded familiar. “Are you READY to ROCK?” she growled into her mike.
Then she looked up, and Noelle caught sight of yellow eyes and a sharp-toothed smile.
“Susie?!” Noelle gasped.---
In which Noelle discovers that the cute monster she exchanged numbers with at the coffee shop is actually the drummer in her favorite band.

Summary
Noelle isn't acting like herself, today. Sleeping through class, barely paying attention to other people, bumping into things, mumbling to herself, even going straight home instead of visiting her dad in the hospital. It's as if her cheerful, bubbly self had all but vanished without a trace from the world, leaving nothing but depression in its wake.
Susie had never seen such a thing before, and didn't know that she never wanted to again until now. She will get to the bottom of this, no matter what she has to do.
An extremely angsty and depressive story about Noelle Holiday's lingering self-hatred, longing for her lost sister, and the stress of the expectations placed on her, the loneliness of bearing all of that weight on her own. Of course teenagers wouldn't know how to handle that. Not one so lovestricken as her, and especially not Susie. Expect very messy talk of kinks, feelings, and psychological trauma; and somewhat explicit lesbian sex followed by more trauma dumping. The focus of this story is not smut, but dialogue and heavy narration.
