Summary
He call smell it: the distinct scent of blood. When he approaches the source, he comes across the dead bodies of what looks like knights of sorts. Where's the woman and the bleeding horses? He can smell those too. He follows the tracks of what seems to be a four-wheeled carriage, and those tracks lead straight down a shallow cliff. Down there, the horses are slowly dying, and inside the upturned carriage, he finds an unconscious young lady, dressed in white. He can't tell if that's a wedding dress or some religious garnment, but what he can tell is that she's alive and breathing, and real fucking pretty too.

"Do you still resent me, Anaxagoras?"
Anaxa's jaw clenches at the sound of his name on her lips. He doesn't move, his back still facing her. The cigarette is nearing it's end.
"What makes you say that?"
"You said you didn't know me. We both know that's a lie. How childish are you to act like this at work?"
A bitter laugh escapes him. This woman.
"That's what you told me, was it not? How am I being childish for simply telling the truth? We don't know each other; that's a fact."
Anaxa suddenly gets cast for a huge romance film after years of only working in the indie scene and as a film theory professor. To make matters worse, his co-star is the Darling of the Industry, Aglaea. The same person he'd been avoiding like the plague for the past seven years.

Summary
Years ago, Aglaea said goodbye and never expected to see him again. In fact, she had been content to leave the past where it belonged.
Then a vacancy opens at Chrysos University after a faculty scandal, leaving the staff scrambling for a replacement. It would have been much less of a problem for Aglaea if the replacement weren't Anaxagoras himself.
