Summary
There’s reverence in the silence that stretches between them as they're stepping through the sleeping city, side by side. Purpose inside him as he holds down a killer, never ever letting them touch even one braid on her head. Beauty in the wild way her eyes spark in the streetlight, right before she sinks her dagger into the heart of their prey. And sometimes, when she’s covered in the blood she spilled, and she blinks up at him as her gaze turns tired with the fight leaving her, he thinks he has found the true Mother of Victory, reborn in the flesh to walk amongst the humans and monsters.
And when he’s lucky, she gives him a small smile after, which reminds him that miracles are possible for an abomination like him, too.
OR
Sydney hates vampires with a burning passion for killing her mother, and she knows very well to stay away from the Berzatto clan. But when a certain Carmen Berzatto wins the James Beard Award, her obsession with the bloodsucking demon of a chef begins. Years later, when a sous-chef position opens at The Beef, the restaurant her grandmother taught her never to set foot in, she applies in a heartbeat.
She and Carmy begin to learn how to work together. In more ways than one.

Summary
The Z-Team didn’t like Robert.
They were villains. They were fuck ups. They each had a giant chip on their shoulders that barely let them stand next to each other on a good day. As soon as his voice first came on the group call, they had to give him shit. If they didn’t start harassing him, the Blonde Boss Lady would have benched them thinking they were being mind controlled.
Every handler thought they could “handle” the Phoenix team. Tame them, make them palatable, water them down. Turn them good. So they didn’t like Robert.
But they did like his voice.

Summary
The thing about plastic chairs is that they weren't a great substitute for an actual bed; the other thing is, Robert can't exactly afford to be picky and even if he 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 the internal debate is still ongoing as to whether or not he deserves a mattress at this current point in his life.
So, the plastic chair stays and is staying for the foreseeable future. Besides, it's charming - in a depressing, minimalism-that-is-totally-not-a-reflection-of-his-inner-sense-of-worth way.
Or:The fic where Robert has chronic pain and Flambae has warm hands. The two of them will figure out what to do about that eventually, right?

Summary
Robert slumps into his chair, headset half-on, the SDN bullpen still humming with the last dregs of the night shift. The coffee tastes like battery acid, but it’s the only thing keeping his eyes open.
Then the comm crackles.
“Hello, Robert.”
Phenomaman’s voice, flat as a gravestone.
“I would like to learn about intercourse from a human person.”
Robert chokes on his coffee. Why is this his life?
