He sits up and looks over to Punz, trying to search his eyes for anything, just a hint of a response, just a flicker of something to tell him that what he said was ok.
But Punz can’t look Dream in the eyes when he says, “I think we should stop seeing each other.”
Dream chokes silently, feels his tongue swell in his mouth and the harsh aching behind his eyes when the tears begin to well.
“You don’t mean that.”
“I do, Dream.”
Dream has a crush on his friend Punz, and accidentally lets those feelings slip one night. Based on the song “Wrapped Around Your Finger” by 5 Seconds of Summer.

“Have you ever been in love?”
That seemed to take him off guard a bit. “Yeah, I have.” He says softly, just narrowly avoiding looking me in the eyes. “I have a few times.”
I place down a few of the red tulips from earlier by the windows of the house Dream was building. Neither of us say anything for a few beats. Then: “Have you?”
I nod my head. “Once.”
“How did it end?” He asks, finally able to look me in the eyes again. “Like, what happened?”
“It hasn’t yet.”
dream and sapnap have been friends since they were kids and have these cute little nicknames for each other but sapnap is absolutely head over heels for his friend. also sapnap is called pandas throughout this fic because dream calling sapnap pandas is the most endearing shit to me, also the idea of sapnap with a panda lunchbox makes me do a little chuckle
