Summary
He does raise an eyebrow at a note from the Doctor to pack a single black tie level of quality outfit for each of them, with some notes on which accessories to go with with each. This conference and demonstration had nothing to indicate such dress would be needed, so the Doctor either wanted to ensure their work was done in style or there was something he was keeping up his sleeve and out of Stone's awareness.
If Stone was an insecure imbecile, he might be concerned at what his Doctor could be planning. As it was, Stone was smarter than he looked and knew it would be revealed in time.
Or, the Doctor surprises Stone with a romantic date while they're away from home at a conference.
