He has his back turned to the doorway, his black shaggy mullet curling raven locks behind his ears, his black T-shirt covering broad shoulders where the Alpha has significantly filled out over the years.
When he gently turns around, a baby is resting on his shoulder. Mike has a gentle hand against her back, the other forearm keeping the baby upright, keeping her steady and safe against his chest. He’s pacing slowly– back and forth, in circles, rocking her a little in his arms.
Will steps forward a little too soon.
