Summary
The lion printed on the cover of the book gets blurrier the longer she looks at it, drifting out of focus until she blinks it back, sharp and clear. The only sound in the room is the music playing from out in the waiting room and as the song ends she inches closer to him, until their arms are pressed together and her knee is against his thigh.
He doesn’t touch her on his own at all.
She makes another appointment before she leaves.
