Sokka and Zuko are imprisined together. They are just straight-up tortured for the entirety of the first work but in the second they run into Sokka's dad and lay low with them.
they try to keep the fact that Zuko is a firenation citizen (not fire&earth), a fire bender (otherwise known as Ash-makers), AND above all the former crown prince of the fire lord. shit goes down and one of the oc Sho (?) is captured and Zukka follow them to rescue. Zuko is great at being the blue spirt and rescue not only Sho but also Suki. They go on to another prison Sho sneaks in as a guard and Zuko as a new prisiner. rescue people. The ex-prisiners don't like Zuko for looking like fire nation - racism at its finest ):< - anywho they leave and after much more peril they make it to the GAang (who have literally JUST lost Appa).
LIST of NOTES:
- iroh was with the GAang for a bit before returning to Azula cause she paranoid as shit
- Sokka is terrified of running out of food due to trauma with starvation
- The guard that facilitated Zukka's escape --> Son forced onto front lines, didn't like the death, was imprisoned with Sho's crew --> daughter is headmaid to Azula
- Sokka and Zuko had too many encounters with whips (flogging)
- never ending running (poor Zukka) can't catch a break
