Loving Scott Pilgrim was easy. He was the perfect charismatic idiot, the type that made you look past his flaws with his innocent smiles and big eyes. The type that you could pretend to be annoyed at, but never really wanted out of your life. The type that made you forget any sense of self-respect just for a moment of his touch: a brief taste of fake intimacy and the fantasy of what it would be to be loved back.

“Sure, guy,” Wallace answers, neatly folding his newspaper up and setting it aside. “Where we goin’?”
