He simply couldn’t stomach the blood in the water, but his brothers didn’t mind it at all, enjoying the feast each wreckage brought.

Albedo is a siren living on an isolated island with his siblings, but he's always felt different from the others. One night he saves Kaeya from a shipwreck without his brother's knowledge, and the two of them grow closer with time. Eventually, Albedo decides to leave the island with the sailor so that he can see the world that he's always dreamed of knowing more about.

“Have you been seeing someone?” Diluc’s voice rings out in the empty library, jolting Kaeya out of his slumber. The book he fell asleep reading clatters to the floor.
“W-what?”
“Don’t think I don’t notice you sneaking out at night, how tired you’ve been. Your eyebags are visible.” Diluc stares him dead in the eyes. “Are you sneaking out to see your girlfriend?”

Albedo kisses him. It's short, only meant to achieve a goal, but Kaeya feels his heart swoop in his chest. Albedo’s lips are salty and chapped and it’s the best kiss Kaeya’s ever had (nevermind the fact that he’d only ever kissed another person once, when he was nine). Kaeya feels like he should revisit these feelings later, but he can’t bring himself to care at the moment.
