   Summary

   Niwa Hisahide agrees to temporarily look after the puppet that Katsuragi found under the cliffs of Tatarasuna, until they can find her a new home. He must keep her hidden, for women are not permitted on the island where only miners and bladesmiths inhabit, dedicating their lives to their work and craft. Try as Niwa may, he finds it difficult to keep his growing feelings for the beautiful puppet at bay. Every moment they spend together, his affection for her grows. Meanwhile, the puppet not only learns what it means to be human and to fall in love, but questions what makes them a woman. Who decided that? He doesn't think he is one.
