Summary
He reaches forward with a shaking hand, clutching Jongseong’s sleeve. The living room is alive with the sounds of all of their friends screaming and laughing. There is life in the house— life that makes a house a home— and yet Heeseung is still lonely.
It swallows him up. Wanting and longing and yearning, all blending together into the same thing. Synonyms for one another that don’t contrast. Doubt and fear and confusion.
Jongseong wraps his arms around him and sighs into his ear. “I’m right here, Hyung. You can relax now.”
Heeseung’s never been any good with words, and sometimes it kills him.

Summary
Jay wakes up. He goes about life as usual. It’s second nature, now; when dreaming, Heeseung is his. When awake, Heeseung is also his, but in a different way. He’s careful to keep them separate; careful to appreciate both, because he knows that the second the dreaming world becomes too much more tempting than the waking one, that’s when he has to stop.
And he does not want to stop.

Jay chokes on his food in cinematic timing. Niki unhelpfully slaps at his back.
His gaze shifted to Heeseung who was still looking at him with an unreadable gaze. There was interest there and something else Jay couldn’t quite put a name to.
Maybe that’s why he clears his throat and casually says “sure,” looking down at his food and shrugging like this wasn’t causing his hair to prematurely grey.
It wasn’t a lie per se, but it wasn’t the whole truth either.
The whole truth was that Jay was completely, irrevocably, and horrendously in love with Heeseung still.
