“I don’t want to go out,” seems like the most logical refusal right at that moment.
Andre shrugs. “We don’t have to,” he says. “It was just a suggestion.” He slumps back into his corner of the couch, picking up his game controller. Christian fumbles to get his ice pack back in the right spot. “Or,” Andre says after a while of quiet. “I could get you off.”

It’s not that Sasha doesn’t love what he does, and that he doesn’t look forward to coming back to work, it’s just that everything is so dramatic on Monday mornings. Burky’s on the phone when Sasha walks through the door, and turns a pleading look on Sasha that Sasha ignores as he passes straight through the reception area and into the back.
There’s half a pot of coffee left for Sasha to avail himself of before the meeting, which means he’s not the last one to arrive, but a lot of the regular weekday crew is there before him. Sasha is finishing pouring his cup of coffee when Dr. Backstrom comes through the doors.
“It’s Monday,” he says by way of greeting, and Sasha nods, sipping his cup of coffee. He salutes Sasha with his travel mug as he heads into the office he and Sasha share. Sasha trails after him. “One morning we’re going to come in here and he’s going to be curled up under his desk crying.”

He gets totally blindsided by the full force of Andre’s smile and Andre’s arm looping around his waist and Andre leaning into his space while he’s talking. It makes Christian’s heart beat too fast and his face feel too hot, and he’s trying to continue to project an outward sense of calm to everyone about this entire situation - playing in the NHL for the first time, actually being on the roster most nights, Andre touching him a lot - when internally he’s freaking the fuck out.

Jakub knows that Vitek is a witch, and it doesn’t bother him. At least, he doesn’t act like it bothers him, and certainly he’s never said anything. When Vitek arrives to play in Hershey, and he and Jakub move in together, Vitek keeps things from him out of habit. But Jakub thinks - well, he’s always known this about Vitek, that Vitek comes from a family of kitchen and hedge witches.
Mostly, Jakub focuses on the way Vitek’s hair looks when he’s sitting on the couch in the morning, sleepily stirring sugar into his coffee, and the way the light makes his shaggy blonde hair even blonder.
