Summary
Lu Guang knew Cheng Xiaoshi too well. The apron he was wearing wasn't for shits and giggles; it was to lure him. The sauce was still on the counter because they were going to make a mess. The cucumber in his field of vision was a poorly disguised prop that was going to be misused. Lu Guang didn't mind taking the initiative to indulge Cheng Xiaoshi.

Summary
Cheng Xiaoshi was no stranger when it came to nightmares. He knew what it was like, having your thoughts spiral into a never-ending vortex that you can’t control. It wasn’t a rare occurrence for him either. And each time, he would have to burden the other with comforting him in the middle of the night. Well, he didn't really like bringing it up. It was something he only saved for the early, ungodly hours of the morning.
What he wasn’t expecting, however, was that Lu Guang had them too. Now the roles were reversed.
Cheng Xiaoshi gets knocked out during a dive. Lu Guang collapses from exhaustion.
Their connection stays active even while they're both unconscious.

He hears a loud pop and fizzing sound coming from the kitchen, acquainted by an ear-splitting and unrestrained “Fuck!”
Wrong like that.
Lu Guang has never been so thankful that the shop is closed.

Summary
There’s nothing wrong with how Cheng Xiaoshi chooses to display his affection, really, it’s just that Lu Guang is overwhelmed and also a little terrified by the mere intensity of it. Qiao Ling doesn’t even seem to notice that anything’s changed, so maybe he’s the one being weird about it at all.
Or: Cheng Xiaoshi is showing symptoms of being in love and Lu Guang doesn’t know what to do with himself.

The two boys looked at each other in disbelief; this didn’t mean anything!

The photograph is a window into the photographer's soul. Look, baobei, what does this photo tell you about the person who took it? What emotions do they feel?
Attraction. Longing. Desire. It might as well be written in Sharpie over Lu Guang's face, big bold characters in Cheng Xiaoshi's handwriting.
Fuck. He really has been blind.
Over the course of a year, Cheng Xiaoshi learns to see what's been right in front of him this entire time. (Or, familiarity as a love language.)
