Summary
Hwang In-ho stared at the square mask. None of the others noticed the look of intent in his gaze, and the almost-imperceptible shake of his head.
The soldier inserted the key into the lock and twisted it. There was a snap. He pulled away the piece of broken metal and held it up.
“The key has broken in the lock,” he said matter-of-factly. “Players 456 and 001 will have to remain shackled. I’m sorry.”

In which In-ho devises an excuse to stay (quite literally) by Gi-hun's side. Story continues into post Season 2.

Summary
“If you do as I say, I won’t tell my guards to shoot them”, the frontman said casually. As if they were discussing the weather.
Gi-hun clenched his hands into fists behind his back.
“Will you let them leave?”, Gi-hun asked, he couldn’t hide the desperation in his voice.
“Hmm… it depends” the frontman leaned back in his chair and put his hands on the armrests. “How obedient can you be for me?”

Summary
"The Front Man turned, and though his expression was hidden, Gi-hun could feel the smirk in his voice.
“Put him in there with the traitor.”
A guard in a black hazmat suit chuckled darkly, and before Gi-hun could react, he was shoved through the doorway. The door slammed shut behind Gi-hun with a resounding finality, the lock clicking into place.
...
Then, his eyes landed on the figure slumped in the chair.
His breath caught in his throat. His vision blurred at the edges as he stumbled forward, his heart hammering against his ribs. Young-il. He was here. He was alive.
Gi-hun’s legs felt like they might give out beneath him as he crossed the room, his footsteps echoing in the silence."***
Set immediately after the end of season 2. In which Young-il/In-ho is the Front Man, until he isn't. A tale of how his own guards betray In-ho, but he's too focused on redeeming himself and trying to win Gi-hun back to care. Pining, slow burn and redemption mixed with doubt and a lot of angst.

Summary
Hwang In-ho was born into slavery in Joseon. After his parents were murdered, young In-ho escapes to the United States with the help of a missionary man, grows up in New York and becomes a Marine Corps officer. Decades later, he returns to his homeland with the mission of eliminating a traitor who was selling valuable information to Japan.
Two snipers, one target, and a mutual obsession neither of them was prepared for - In-ho meets a member of the Righteous Army, a young man from a poor family who uses his forced social status to gain valuable information for his people. Fascinated by his struggles and ideals, In-ho finds it impossible to leave Joseon until he learns more about Gi-hun - and that, needless to say, was the beginning of his end.
