    Summary

Ace is nineteen, restless, and easier to read as a punch than as a person. When her brothers get drafted, she doesn't know what to do. Ace has never been good at sitting still, so she takes her chances in Vietnam instead. As she finds herself in the company of women who laugh like grenades and men who come in falling apart, Ace learns how to hold a body together and how to protect the pieces of herself.

A Universal truth carved into one Bonnabelle Winston when she rolled into town an odd 7 years ago:

Winston girls don’t get nice things.

Dallas makes it hard for her to forget such a thing, and yet all it takes for her to forget is a pretty soc with silver rings.

    Summary

Between everything that has happened in the past year and all of the responsibilities he has, the absolute last thing on Darry Curtis's mind is his social life, let alone dating someone. That changes when he runs into someone from his past; someone that he still has feelings for. A chance encounter with a girl he went to high school with leads to a date, which then leads to something more.

This story stems from my one-shot series "Darry Has A Girlfriend: One-Shot Series" but I wanted to dive deeper into this relationship as well as Kate's past.

The gang is involved throughout the whole story (so no, it’s not just a story about two people)
