Mingyu’s read all about it, too– the reviews from last night, the play-by-play of the concert so he can emotionally prepare himself. So he expects it when Jihoon says, “I loved this person with everything that I am. I thought I was going to be with him forever. I wanted to believe we’d get married, and I’d write him a song, and we’d dance to it on our wedding night. And I did actually– I wrote him something, but it didn’t work out. Us. The song. So this came out instead.”
He doesn’t expect it when Jihoon breaks away from the script and says,”this is what I would’ve said had you stuck around. But you decided not to. And that’s just now something that I have to deal with. This is The Wedding Song.”

The casual warmth of someone sitting next to you quietly, someone who time and time again could have pushed you away but chose not to.
