The apocalypse left Amber Gris and Oksana Kodeira no time to choose any of the things they chose to do, and, worst of all, left them no time to choose to be in each other's lives. With trouble brewing in Founder's Wake, and the two of them crossing paths more and more often again, they find it impossible to ignore the bond between them as childhood memories resurface and old wounds open up.
