Summary
“Is everything OK up here?” Buck hears Eddie’s voice so he stands, pivoting quickly and watching as Eddie quickens his pace. “Jesus, Buck. I leave you alone for a few hours and you –”
Sneeze. Sneeze.
“Motherfucker –” Buck covers his mouth and nose as he’s assaulted with too many more sneezes to count, nearly falling over with the last one of the spree nearly a full minute later. “Kill me. Somebody kill me.” He can’t believe he jinxed himself. At least it wasn’t a nosebleed?
“What’s going on?” Eddie asks his question a different way and spins around a few times, but Buck watches everyone shrug.
“Eddie, I think I’m cursed,” Buck whines desperately and falls back down onto the couch.

Summary
"Jesus, Buckaroo, what’d you do? Run through the whole lot?” Chim is saying when Eddie makes it inside.
“There aren’t that many needles,” Buck grumbles, his voice now audibly congested. Because of course he’s allergic to the tree. How Eddie didn’t notice during the forty-five minutes they spent in the tree lot is nothing short of supernatural, given the typical amount of attention he extends to Buck and his nasal passages.
OR

Summary
“Buck?” Eddie calls, wandering back into their bedroom after dropping Chris off at school. Usually Buck would come with them, but he could barely get the man to wake up enough to tell him he was going.
“Hnng,” he hears from underneath the sheets.
“Oh no, where did Buck go?” Eddie teases, stopping at the foot of the bed. The lump in the covers breathes slowly.
“‘M dead,” the lump says, voice muffled and raspy.
Or, Buck has a cold.

Summary
Eddie Diaz does not get sick. At worst he experiences mild allergies from time to time. So when he wakes up with a scratchy throat and a pounding headache, he does what any reasonable person would do: he doesn't mention it and he goes to work.
