Hongjoong's best friend Seonghwa is a god, worshipped as the Moon Goddess reborn. OR Seonghwa always thought he was nothing more than a street rat, a thief living off pick pocketing and stealing from local vendors. All of that changes when he tries to pick pocket the infamous pirate captain Kim Hongjoong, who then reveals to him the matching birthmark. Which is supposed to lead them to a treasure that the captain has been hunting for, for years.
However, legends are always told differently, and a darker fate awaits the two.

Choi Soobin, who is Seonghwa's childhood best friend, tries to get him to reason, but Seonghwa just does not want to listen and one day, he escapes, leading Hydri into chaos as the fiancé of the future king goes missing.
