Summary
Felix’s breath hitched in his chest and it had nothing to do with the magic that surged through him, catching an imperial soldier in the chest and sending them flying back.
Just a few feet from him was Claude von Riegan atop a wyvern, hero’s relic glowing bright in his hands, an arrow notched in Felix’s direction.
Claude let the arrow fly.

Summary
“Wow.” That was all Caleb could get out as he plucked up the cards, taking a closer look at them now that Mollymauk was finished with them. “I didn’t realize how, ah--important feeling such a thing as this could be?” He spoke as he handed the cards back to tiefling so he could add them back to the deck now assembled in his hands.
“They help give some people a direction, not all of the readings I give are bullshit~” Molly teased, shuffling the deck once all the cards had been returned. “Only most of them.” He reached out, brushing back a few strands from Caleb’s forehead before making his way upstairs towards the rooms they’d rented, multicolored coat swirling as he left.
Caleb watched him go, thinking of all of what Mollymauk had told him and the images of a beautiful smile, hands flipping over cards, the tiefling’s tail wrapped around his calf, and the warmth from Mollymauk’s hand on his.
Caleb was glad he’d asked Mollymauk for a reading that night.

Summary
“I recognize them.” It was quiet, as if the figures walking away would be able to hear him. He could feel the rest of the Nein’s attention on him, trying to prompt him to say more but he couldn’t. He couldn’t.
Beginning to panic, he laid back against the wood of the cart. Unfocused eyes staring up at the sky shades of blue lighter than his own as his heart thumped harshly against his rib cage. The circling statement of ‘I shouldn’t be here’ was loud in his ears, spurring his heart into beating even faster.
Would they recognize him? Recognize the amulet that was around his neck? What were they doing here? Was it because of the attack? Too many thoughts flicked through his mind, along with flashes of his frantic escape.
“What’s going on? Are you sleepy? Are you--” Jester’s words became hard to make out, the panic in Caleb’s system blocking everything out.

Summary
The light so bright that it was painful, but Megumi’s eyes managed to adjust to it. It was surrounding something that Megumi almost mistook for a man at first. The curse did look like a man, but one where someone had gotten the details all wrong. It was too tall and too broad, towering over Megumi and drowning him in its shadow. Its fingers ended in ragged-looking claws, and its mouth was crammed full of sharp teeth. Its eyes, all six of them, were an arresting shade of blue, almost as bright as its white hair and as the strange light surrounding it. Two of the eyes were fixed on Megumi while the others were looking off in different directions. Megumi suppressed a shiver as he was struck with the thought that the curse wanted to devour him.
“Fushiguro Megumi.” There was an echo-like quality to the curse’s voice, but it was still more intelligible than Megumi would’ve expected. Megumi’s heart skipped a beat, and he felt off-balance, like he missed a step going down the stairs.
Satoru watched Megumi all of the time, but Megumi wasn't sure he'd be able to survive the pressure of the curse's eyes on him, feeling like he was eventually going to be crushed under the weight of his stare.- Language:

Summary
He stands up, offers his hand to Ratio. “Would you dance with me?”
As if on cue, the gramophone playing in the lounge changes its tune. The sounds of a violin playing a slow waltz fills the air. The indistinct murmurs around them seem to fade out. Yet, he keeps his gaze on Ratio, firm yet pleading. Will you indulge a dead man’s final request?
The doctor’s silence unnerves him. Maybe he’ll say no. Maybe he’ll push Aventurine away, before they’re both too deep in to come out of this. Surely he is thinking about how the lounge is unfit for a dance, that their attire would get in the way, the dance experience that neither of them possess. Surely he is thinking about the fact that they are being watched. Surely he will remind Aventurine of all this, snap him out of his blissful state.
He does not. He returns a stare that speaks so much without a single word, takes Aventurine’s hand, and says, “Alright.”
Alternatively, the acheswan dance scene but with ratiorine.
