When Percy was knocked out on Polyphemus' Island while trying to save his friends, he had no idea that waking up in ancient Greece was an outcome he had to prepare for.
But here he was, sailing across an unknown sea with a very well known ancient hero, reenacting the Odyssey (of which he knew far to little) and trying not to die. Fun times.
Meeting the gods (who were wilder, younger and way more vengeful) while attempting to not mess up the future was just the top of the metaphorical iceberg.The only good thing? Dreaming about a rather cute boy who always made him smile...

It took twenty minutes after Spider-Man fulfilled his promise to come back for her, feet on solid ground and the shock wearing off, for Annabeth to realize he knew her name. But it took only seconds more to realize that when he spoke to her, she hadn’t even thought of him as Spider-Man; she had just thought of him as “Percy.”
Percy is wounded. He's wounded, and it's not the first time, and he will likely be hurt again tomorrow. Annabeth wonders if she can bear to take that next step and admit her feelings, when any day could be his last.

3.8k miles is a lot for a pair of cousins but Sally and Harry write often and enjoy having someone to talk to. It's pretty much smooth sailing.
Or it would have been if they didn't have to contend with an escaped (framed) convict, a mass of dementors, and an overly fussy, dramatic (already water-bending) baby.
