It never got old.
Well, that wasn’t necessarily true, actually. Some parts of vlogging got old. The getting up early and catching trains and hailing ubers was repetitive. Wilbur felt like every other day he was buying tickets to different places and he found himself at the subway so often he wouldn’t have been surprised if the conductors knew him by name. He hadn’t done this much commuting since he had lived in London, and in his waiting-out quarantine in Brighton, he’d forgotten how much he hated it.
But it was worth it. It always was.

Summary
When Tommy was 15, he was diagnosed with insomnia. Ever since then, he has been dependent on prescription medication to fall asleep. But when he's packing to spend the night at Wilbur's house, he decides to leave it at home.
Or, Tommy doesn't take his insomnia medication and can't fall asleep when spending the night at Wilbur's house.
(Clonidine is a medication used for a variety of things such as high blood pressure, anxiety, and insomnia. In this fic, Tommy takes it for his insomnia.)

Summary
After a fight with his parents, Tommy manages to get kicked out of his house. Not the greatest move on his part.
So maybe telling no one what happened wasn't his smartest idea, and neither was trying to solve everything on his own while ignoring Wilbur's messages, but Tommy wasn't really one for well thought through plans. He just needed to get his grades back up and then he can go back home. He's fine. Everythings fucking fine.
If only Wilbur and everyone else got that memo.
